Effective Youth Interactions Police Training @ Kane County Government Center
Nov 3 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Effective Police Interactions with Youth is a one-day FREE training delivered by experienced police officers from Connecticut.  This training will emphasize practical strategies that have been proven to build positive relationships with youth and turn conflict into cooperation.  Over 2,000 police officers in Connecticut have completed this training and federal funding is supporting delivery of the curriculum outside Connecticut.

Please choose from one of the two days offered.  A continential breakfast and lunch will be provided.   Certification of this training is pending through Northeast Multi Regional Training (NEMRT).  More details on training credit hours to come!

This training is sponsored by members of the Juvenile Justice Councils of DeKalb, DuPage, and Kane Counties. These councils are chaired by the State’s Attorney in each county: DeKalb County State’s Attorney Richard Schmack, DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, and Kane County State’s Attorney Joseph McMahon.

This curriculum was developed by the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee.  More information is available at www.CTJustStart.org.
